Come Up With Your Own System (using other people’s ideas): Brainstorm what you need your notebook to do. Think of the things you normally try to keep track of, or wish you did keep track of. wwwtools for teachers

Posted by studenthack on July 5, 2006

wwwtools for teachers:
Uses for technology enabling the sharing of video via social software continue to diversify, and the terminology is hard put to keep pace: the Weblog with video accessories has become the ‘videoblog’ , the ‘vlog’ , or the ‘vblog’ , not to mention the ‘ vog’ , and the ‘ vidblog’ - take your pick, though we’ll settle for ‘videoblog ‘ as our standard reference. To complicate things further, the iPod has diversified the field even more, engendering the ‘ video podcast’ , aka the ‘vodcast ‘ - where does this leave the vidcast ? The modes of delivery may vary in detail, but the end result boils down to a conveniently flexible multimedia mix which makes lots of sense for the delivery of highly motivating chunks of instructional content. In this edition of WWWTools for Education, we look at the diverse nature of the genre, uses in educational practice, and trends for the future.
